Emmanuel Ferrand is a doing research in mathematics (UPMC, Paris, France).

At the same time he is involved in a collective of artists runing an independant art-space, La Générale( http://lagenerale.fr/ ).

He continues there his researches as a sound artist (Emmanuel Rébus), and organizes the activity in the field of new media and art-science issues.

He is a memeber of DIKTAT quartet (free improvisation), and has done many installations and performances at the crossroads of science and sound-art.

◎ 퍼실리테이터의 변

얼마 전 지인과 이런 저런 살아온 이야기를 나누는 중에, 그가 이렇게 물었다.

“당신은 지금과 같이 살아온 지난 날에 후회가 있나요?”

그리곤 난 유쾌한 목소리로 이렇게 대답했다.

“힘들었고, 아직도 힘들지만, 후회는 없는 거 같아요.”

무심코 대답한 얼마 후, 난 하루하루 살아가는 과정이 또 참 고되고 힘들다고 생각했다.

삶은 왜 이리 해결하고 해내야 하는 게 많지? 무엇을 위해 이렇게 바쁘게 살아가야 하고, 힘든 걸 견뎌야 할까?

그리곤 문득, 지난 지인과의 이야기가 생각났다.

분명 난 인생이 고되고 힘들다고 느끼는 데, 그날 난,

내 지난 삶의 어떤 점이 후회스럽지 않다고 당당히 말할 수 있었지?

깊이 다시 한 번 생각해 보았고, 아마도 다음과 같은 이유이진 않을까 정리해 보았다.

나를 속이지 않는 결정으로 결국 부딪혔다는 것.

선택했고, 책임지기 위해 노력했다는 것.

사고하고, 분석했다는 것.

결국 포기하지 않았고, 숨지 않았다는 것.

삶이 힘들다는 사실보다, 주체적으로 살아내고 있다는 나만의 증거가 어쨌든 자신감을 주긴 하는 것 같다.

인간은 출구 없는 통로에서 출구를 찾고자 하는 희망으로

끊임없이 경험하고, 살아 숨쉬고, 그로인해 성숙해져가는 것 같다.

그것이 출구다.

세상을 알아가는 것, 거대하고도 미약한 우리.

그 세상 안에서 내가 살아있고 변화해간다는 것. 그것이 출구다.

그래서 우린 절망을 봐야하고, 그 절망 속에서 희망을 부르짖으며 행동해야 하고,

그 행동을 통해 변화되어가는 것은 내 체액, 내 체세포, 내 신경, 내 정신이다.

이 변화가 출구인 것이다.

이지소는 행동이다.

이지소는 변화이다.

당당하게 선택한 변화, 그리고 자유.

is Saphy Vong a sound and visual artist.

He has played alone and in collaboration on places such as Helsinki (Myymälä 2), Bangkok (Nospace Gallery), St Petersburg (Erarta Contemporary Art Museum),New York (Xpo929) Berlin (White Rabbit Gallery), Arkaoda (Istanbul)..with Hype Williams, KXP, Lydia Lunch, Scott Colburn (Jabon), Ovo, Jooklo duo,Stellar Om Source, Family Battle Snake..

He’s a french solo musician with a background from Cambodia who is messing around with abstract electronics, noise and sequenced multi-layered rhythms. Playing live is for him always an experiment within the situation of spontaneous thinking and decision-making through the energy of people & space.

Collaborations include the projects METRO:LIBIDO (with Imran Khan), MONOSOURCIL (with Pavel Viry, Boris Viry and Gaetan Belhenniche), Marie-Pascale Hardy (LEYLI), ABSYNTHAX with Ivan karib (MPALA GAROO), Zack Kouns and Rory hinchey, Dustin Wong (Ecstatic sunshine, Ponytail..) .He is running the label Steak au zoo (LES TRUCS, ELECTRIC ELECTRIC, GREGALDUR..) and organizer of a concert series for noise, experimental and free music, “GROLDEBOX”.

The last release is a split LP with Orphan I Oliver from Toronto on diffeent labels from different countries: Neh-Owh (Copenhagen)/Heia sun (Paris)/Jozik (Helsinki/Dumpster Diving Lab (Moscow)

Kikiilimikilii is the solo project of one founder of the Parisian art group and label, CT/ Heia Sun, and bands, FEU MACHIN and GROSS BITE.

Since 2010, he has performed in France, Spain, Mexico, Estonia, Turkey, Switzerland, New Zealand, Romania, Canada and the United States, but keeps a cryptic, abiographical résumé, citing ‘dgdghnfhnfnhf’ as a pretty big influence.

He also has physical debut recently on Heia Sun (EYES BEHIND, LAFIDKI) and a pending release on Amdiscs (PICTUREPLANE, CHROME WINGS, YOUNG ADULTS)He has collaborated with Nathan Wheeler, Eizo Takashima, Chris O'Connor, Burhan Berken, Romano Krzych, Die Karlheil Gruppe, Hearth ...

He has played alongside Mi Ami, High Wolf, Arbouretum, Endless Boogie, Protect U, Tearist, Vampillia, Digital Peyote ...

kikiilimikilii's music skates between echoic choral terrains, mosquito-drone airspace, and cracked, lacustrine exotica. He hushed blend of noisy psychedelia and trance leaning rhythm patterns.
